Common questions

How do I start a brand new family? Open the menu (the three lines at the bottom left) and choose Start a new family. Your save lives only on your device.

Why was I arrested? Crooked moves raise your heat. The higher your heat, the likelier the police are to come at the end of a turn. Honest lanes cool it down. Every arrest as an adult is a strike: the police watch you harder after each one, and a third strike in one life is a life sentence that ends your family line.

What happens to my buildings when I die? Your child inherits every building and your cash after inheritance tax. With no children, a niece or nephew inherits only half; distant relatives and lawyers take the rest.

How do friends work? Open the leaderboard, switch to Friends, and share your six-character code or type in a friend's. You can then see each other's families and pick a friend's family as your rival.

A purchase did not arrive. Close and reopen the game. Apple delivers any purchase that did not finish, and the game adds it as soon as it starts. If it still has not arrived, email us with the date of the purchase.

Does gold or the season pass make me win? No. They only unlock looks: vehicles, hats and building styles.

How do I take my family off the leaderboard? Menu, then Remove us from the leaderboard. It is deleted from our server straight away.
